#229 Paws

Surprise, it's Sandi again! Hope you don't get tired of seeing her. This is her paws in a relaxed state on our bed. The whole relaxed state is something we don't see a lot. I took the pic as a black and white, didn't edit it too much. I liked it in its SOC state.

#106 Food Glorious Food

This BBQ chicken is one of my creations. I don't cook often. Not because I can't cook, I'm just lucky to not have to cook. Usually I end up eating dinner by myself or with some friends. But I really love to cook a meal and have lots of people over. It tasted wonderful and is actually what Sandi was begging for in the previous post, anticipation.

Free Theme #1 Anticipation

My dog, Sandi, is the world's worst begger. She practically talks to get your attention. I had a piece of chicken in my hand and you can tell she wants it.
I am new to Elements, so I blurred the background. I can't wait to get more advanced so I can do more things with my pictures.
I was thinking of this challenge when I took this picture, wondering if there was an anticipation theme. So no anticipation here, I am using one of the 52 'freebies'.

#7 Accessories...

...yard accessories, that is. This light is in our front yard. I played with the colors to give the light a warmer glow than was in the original picture.

#363 Winter

I thought I better get my winter theme, now. I probably won't see another day like this until next year unless I change my address.

#113 Frozen Treats

The temp was 24 degrees when I took this photo, so these berries were frozen treats for the birds. This photo also brought back memories of an earlier conversation I had this year with my 'second' mother. She told me that the holly berry bushes bearing so much meant that we were in for a harsh winter. I guess Mother Nature knows what she is doing!

#18 Baby, It's Cold Outside

This is my dog Sandi playing in her first snow. She definitely thought it was cold outside. Eastern NC got two inches of snow Jan 20, the first real measurable snowfall we've had for a few years. The temperature got down in the teens at night that week and barely reached 35 degrees during the day.
